Using the site
You can read, share, link to, and quote American Meathead content for personal and non-commercial use. You cannot republish full articles, recipes, or reviews on another site without written permission. You cannot use the American Meathead name, illustrated mascot, or trademarks to imply we endorse your product or service.
Affiliate disclosure (FTC compliance)
American Meathead participates in affiliate programs including Amazon Associates and several manufacturer-direct and network-based affiliate programs (Impact, Pepperjam, Awin, ShareASale). When you click an outbound product link on this site and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.
The presence of affiliate links does not change our editorial process. We buy every piece of gear we recommend at retail. We log a minimum of 10 cooks before publishing a review. Every affiliate link on the site is marked with rel="sponsored noopener". We do not accept paid placement in editorial reviews. If we ever accept paid sponsored content on the site, it will be clearly labeled “Sponsored” at the top of the post.
Editorial accuracy and warranty
We test every product we review. Temperatures, cook times, and gear specifications are taken from our own testing logs and from manufacturer documentation. We work to keep prices current, but retail pricing moves and we cannot guarantee an in-page price is the price you’ll see when you click through.
BBQ involves fire, heat, sharp blades, and the handling of raw meat. Follow safe-food handling practices, manufacturer instructions for any gear you buy, and your own judgment. We provide our best-effort technique guidance; you take responsibility for the cook.
